After decades in the EMI Archive Trust, the mics were restored to record orchestral parts and re-amp dialogue for the award-winning film The King's Speech.

Abbey Road engineers then began re-amping guitars and synths through them to get crunchy, filter-like tones, and Waves modelled the results in close collaboration with the studio. Each mic offers close, natural and ambient positions, giving you lost period timbres for sound design and music production.

Modelled in close collaboration with Abbey Road Studios

Three restored EMI microphones from the 1920s and 30s

Includes the only known model of a carbon microphone

Close, natural and ambient range positions on each mic

Characterful vintage tones for sound design and production

Follow with reverb for unusual room and ambience effects

Supplied as a digital download with a perpetual licence.
