DPA CORE 4071 Omni Mic, Presence Boost, Loud SPL, MicroDot (Black)

The DPA 4071 is a miniature omni-directional lavalier microphone with an equalisation curve tailored to accent and clarify speech parts when the mic is placed on the body.

In interview, ENG, video production and theatre scenarios, the mic is usually placed upon the body. Boominess from the chest cavity and muffling from clothing and hair can distort sound to the point where speech intelligibility is affected. The 4071 has a low cut to remove frequencies beneath 100Hz that clears out the low bass not only from the body, but from other low rumbles caused by passing vehicles for example. An increased high frequency boost between 3 and 7kHz is also added to accent vocal plosives and sibilance, and the omni-pickup pattern means the source is captured from all directions; the mic adapts to its placement.

The capsule can handle sound pressure levels of up to 144dB and is adaptable with all industry standard wireless transmitter packs through DPA’s vast selection of adapters.
