The DPA d:dicate 4091 is a high-quality studio omni-directional microphone. With a uniquely open and natural sound, the 4091 is designed for instrument micing in both the studio and on stage. A high sensitivity version of the mic is available as the DPA 4090, which is better suited to low SPL settings and instruments.   

With a linear frequency response between 20Hz and 20kHz and high 144dB SPL handling, meaning quality performance on even the loudest instruments, the 4091 is a versatile, clean sounding addition to any studio’s mic set. As the polar pick-up pattern is omni-directional, the mic does not suffer from the proximity bass boost effect that cardioid and other more focused pattern mics can suffer from, meaning the mic can be placed even close to the source without sonic adjustment.
