Merging Anubis Pro SPS Audio Interface and Monitor Controller

The Merging Technologies Anubis is an extraordinary audio interface equipped with mastering-grade analogue I/Os and AoIP connectivity. Its impressive internal processing and intuitive touchscreen offer four switchable “Missions” tailored for various audio applications.

Anubis is the perfect companion for audio professionals who demand excellence in live or studio environments. Its compact and robust design ensures it thrives in any setting. In RAVENNA/AES67 mode, Anubis supports 256x256 channels; in Dante® mode, it offers 64x64 channels (Audinate license needed).

The dual network ports can be set to switch mode for easy daisy chaining with Merging I/O interfaces or third-party devices, or to redundant mode for greater reliability. RAVENNA/AES67 mode supports ST2022-7, NMOS, and LAWO HOME, facilitating easy integration into broadcast environments. Merging’s “Peering” feature allows Anubis to control other Merging or Neumann interfaces on the network, enabling easy expansion and collaboration.

SONIC EXCELLENCE

Anubis delivers exceptional audio performance with a dynamic range of up to 136 dBA (mic In) and 139 dBA (line In). It features two premium headphone amplifiers, with very low impedance ratings for distortion-free, high output levels. Available in Pro and Premium versions, Anubis Pro supports sample rates up to 192 kHz, while Anubis Premium supports high-resolution formats DXD, 384 kHz PCM and DSD 64/128/256, compatible with Pyramix DAW and Ovation Media Server.

Anubis Missions

Music Mission
The music mission features a 48-input mixing console with equalizers, dynamics processing, and reverb, serving as the studio’s centerpiece. It provides up to five ultra-low latency mixes for performers, along with individual talkback channels, making it ideal for tracking sessions. Its customizable user interface and snapshot settings also make it perfect for live performances.

Monitor Mission
The central node in the control room, Anubis acts as a full monitoring controller, handling source selections, mixdowns, cue management, and talkback. It supports immersive audio systems like 9.1.6 and includes speaker calibration with 336 EQ bands, trims, and delays. Security features protect critical configurations like studio calibration, making it suitable for multi-user facilities.

Commentary Mission
The Commentary Mission offers a user-friendly interface for journalists covering live events and sports. Supporting two simultaneous commentators, it was developed with international broadcasters and includes essential communication tools for gallery interactions, making it ideal for remote productions worldwide.

Venue Mission
This Mission empowers musicians to customize their own monitor mixes easily for live performances, like orchestras, using a user-friendly 16-channel mixer with intuitive functions. Performers can hear themselves clearly while sharing microphone inputs via AoIP with FOH and monitor mixers. The Venue Mission also excels in Automatic Dialogue Replacement (ADR) applications.

ADDITIONAL PLUGINS

In addition to the various “Missions” that Anubis can run, users have the option to purchase plugins developed by Merging, as well as integrations with select third-party applications, which can be added to compatible missions.

SoundID Reference: This calibration software from Sonarworks ensures accurate studio sound by eliminating unwanted coloration and provides low-latency stereo and multichannel corrections.

Merging Deesser: Minimizes sibilance and harsh high frequencies in dialogue and helps soften harshness in drums and cymbals.

Blackhole Reverb: Created by Eventide, this reverb offers unique virtual spaces and enhances music projects with innovative algorithms.
