The Retro Instruments 2A3 is a stereo, tube based, vintage emulating, passive equaliser. Designed around the industry standard Pultec EQ performance, the 2A3 adds HF boost frequencies in several new spots. Carefully implemented circuitry capture the classic sound of the original passive EQ units. These settings mean you can attenuate individual tracks to sit comfortably against each other, bring new life out of vocal parts and add distinction to stereo busses.
The 2A3 has a subsonic filter, which allows you to boost low frequencies without attenuating the subsonic energy below. The filter can be adjusted between 40 and 90Hz with a peaking response and has a sharp cut-off. The unit can run two channels in stereo, each channel independent or in series with each channel after the other for extended eq control.
