Royer R-121 - Mono Ribbon Microphone
The Royer R-121 is an award winning ribbon microphone capable of handling high SPLs. The R-121 has a figure-of-eight polar pattern with a smooth and warm, yet flat frequency response which has made it an industry standard microphone on electric guitar and brass. The realistic tone that the R-121 captures makes it the ideal microphone in many situations.
When close miking, the R-121 has two personalities. The rear of the microphone is slightly brighter than the front, this can be useful when recording acoustic guitars, vocals, and other sound sources that you may need a slightly brighter response on.
