The Rycote 15cm Classic-Softie Camera Kit (19/22) is a brilliant all-in-one kit which is effective for solving the problems of outside filming using a shotgun camera mounted microphone. This versatile kit contains a microphone shockmount with attachments suitable for mounting video cameras, booms and stands, as well as excellent protection against wind noise from the Rycote Classic-Softie.

The Classic-Softie Camera Kit includes the InVision Video Shock-Mount, a multifaceted shock-mount the patented Lyre Suspension to provide ultimate protection against all unwanted and potentially recording-ruining sound. This flexible shock-mount is fitted with a Hot Shoe fixtur and also comes with a Boom Swivel and Camera Clamp Adaptor, meaning the way you attach your camera or boom pole is not limited. The Classic-Softie is brilliant for preventing unwanted sounds from an outside environment and the limit is 25dB. Professionals highly recommend this for the tough settings

Finding the correct slip-on windshield will depend on the type, length and diameter of the microphone. Slip-on windshields are designed for cylindrical shotgun mics, ranging from 19-25 mm in diameter. For any windshield to work effectively it must cover all the ports on the microphone. Therefore a 12 cm slip-on windshield would be suitable for shotgun microphones, with slots no further than 12 cm from the front of the mic. The diameter of the microphone is also key, as the fit must be tight in order to achieve a good seal. Rycote slip-on windshields come in one universal diameter fitting (19-25 mm).
