The SPL 2Control is a controller that combines loudspeaker and headphone monitoring in a well designed compact and high quality device. This controller will benefit any studio based on a digital audio workstation adding much more controller in your workflow. The SPL 2 Control's two headphone outputs both feature crossfeed which simulates the stereo imaging of stereo speakers angled at 30 degrees towards the listener instead of the 180 degree stereo panorama that headphones create. This improved stereo imaging allows for greater mixing on headphones which is great for musicians that arn't able to use loudspeakers due to the noise.
The advantages of an analog monitoring controller becomes especially apparent in combination with modern audio and video production tools such as ProTools, Cubase, Logic, Deck, etc. Monitor levels and source management can be handled independently of the software and with virtually no loss in quality. You no longer need to set up additional aux sends for monitoring. In addition, you won't have to worry about over- or underdriving the converters when changing monitor levels.
