Vovox Link Protect A 6.0707
The Vovox Link Protect A 6.0707 is a 3.5 meter Right-Angle Mono Jack to Mono Jack made using silver-plated solid-core conductors made from oxygen-free high purity SPOFHC copper. The multi-purpose sound conductor for transmission of unbalanced signals. Whether live on stage or in the recording studio, this is the perfect cable for all electrically amplified musical instruments such as electrical guitar, bass, E-piano or keyboards. Also great for acoustic instruments with pickup systems.
High-grade conductor material
The selection of the right conductor material is crucial for the sound. The basis of Vovox link sound conductors is silver-plated solid-core conductors made from oxygen-free high purity SPOFHC copper. Because silver has an even better conductivity than copper, the current density is additionally enhanced in the important surface boundary.
Very low capacitance
It is impossible to judge the quality of an instrument cable just based on its capacitance. Nevertheless, to have a low capacitance is a precondition for a cable to transmit the whole frequency range. Vovox link protect A has a very low capacitance of only 90 pF/m.
Ultra-pure polymers
Vovox link sound conductors are covered with two layers of high-tech polymer. Although plastics are not directly involved in the signal transmission, they do have an effect on the sound quality. Vovox doesn't use any PVC. Only ultra-pure plastics without plasticizers are used. Even the use of colour pigments is avoided.
Additional conductor for ground
The conductors within a cable must fulfil several functions. The shield has the main function of protecting the signal conductor from interference. In most cables, the shield is also used as the return signal conductor. Vovox consequently separates these functions. This may be a more complex construction, yet it results clearly in better sound quality.
Optimal protection from microphonic noise
When a guitar cable is moved or stepped on, small electrical signals are created due to the change of the capacitance or due to electrostatic charges. This effect is called microphonic. It creates a disturbing crackling noise. Usually this phenomenon is avoided with the help of conductive plastics. Howevery, like this also sound quality is negatively affected. Vovox have found their own technique to solve the problem of microphonic noise using natural materials - without compromising sound quality.
