The DPA d:dicate 2006C is a Twin diaphragm compact omni-directional condenser microphone. Based on DPA’s popular 4006C omni mic, the 2006C shares much of the technology and performance from the 4000 line, but is available at a more affordable price.
The 2006A features two opposite facing diaphragms which are rebuilt into a single capsule composition. This means the mic has the advantages of a small capsule, with a fast impulse response and a large frequency bandwidth, but has lower inherent noise thanks to its larger overall diaphragm surface area.
The body is more compact than its big brother, the 2006A making it much easier to position and features a MMP-C preamplifier that adds a subtle boost to the low end. The mic is also of a modular design, meaning it’s easy to swap out the capsule to change the pick-up pattern.
