Pultec Techniques EQP-1A Tube Equaliser

The Pulse Techniques EQP-1A is a re-creation of the classic Pultec EQ. The EQP1A remains true to the classic units without compromise or "enhancement" to the original. The EQP 1A has a two-band design giving you flexible high-shelving and low-shelving control. A unique feature of the EQP-1A is that the Attenuate and boost controls work independently, meaning you can add weight to the bass region while also notching a bit above the cut-off point, by boosting and attenuating at the same time. On the high-shelf side things are similar, except you can set separate ranges for the boost and attenuation. Said another way, you can boost at 12kHz and cut at 5k, adding "air" to a track without increasing presence.

The name Pultec commands reverence.
