The Shure SM7B is a cardioid dynamic microphone commonly used in broadcast and radio settings and has also seen use in studios on vocals and bass drums.
This is a B-Stock item
With an adjustable frequency response with both bass roll off and presence boost, the SM7B is adaptable for the purpose at hand. It’s standard flat performance and honest sound reproduction has given it a long career in radio stations where close, accurate speech pick up is needed with high rejection of background noise.
It has also become a favourite with recording studio engineers for use on kick drums, thanks to its sub bass roll off, high SPL handling and slight high presence boost that adds attack to the drum sound.
