Sony C80

The Sony C80 is a Cardioid Condenser microphone designed for vocal recording. The C80 features the same capsule as the C-100 microphone and same material as the famous C-800G for the diaphragm meaning the C80 inherits the same essence of its predecessors.

The C80 is a dual diaphragm design which supresses the proximity effect, enabling stale and constant recording. Sony C 80 features a two-part metallic body, succeeded from the C-800G and C-100, which helps prevent acoustic vibration resulting in low noise and crystal clear sound.

Excellent Sound Quality

Powerful and rich mid-low frequency range provides vocals and voice recordings with a core sound and presence.

Dual Diaphragm Configuration

Dual diaphragm configuration realizes stable recording/distribution by suppressing sound characteristics changes with distance (proximity effect).

Noise Elimination Construction

Two-part metallic body structure succeeded from C-800G/C-100 microphone prevents acoustic vibration resulting in low noise and clear sound.

Low-Cut Filter

Low-Cut filter switch helps eliminate low-frequency nose and proximity effect.

Pad Switch

An -10dB pad switch on the microphone provides added headroom and minimizes distortion caused by transient peaks.
