Harrison Audio MR3EQ - 500-Series EQ Module

Originally designed for the Harrison MR3 studio console, the MR3eq emerges as one of Harrison's most celebrated EQ designs, recognized for its impactful, velvety sound, and potent shaping capabilities. Introduced in 1981, the Music Recording 3 (MR3) console swiftly became the preferred tool for numerous eminent engineers and studios worldwide, playing a role in the creation of some of the most iconic albums of the 70s and 80s. True to the legacy of Harrison production tools, the MR3 EQ not only delivers the inspirational vibe for artists but also provides the precision for engineers to excel. With the introduction of the MR3eq module, the unmistakable Harrison sound is now available in the 500 Series format.

The MR3eq stands as a high-performance analog EQ, crafted from decades of expertise in equalizer and filter design. Its circuit design allows for precision in surgical tasks or the creation of expansive musical strokes, fostering significant band interaction for a lush and vibrant sonic character.

The MR3eq stands as a robust three-band parametric equalizer, equipped with High-frequency 6 dB/octave Shelf bands that can transition to a 2nd order Bell response featuring Harrison’s renowned proportional Q. In the Mid-band, users benefit from a continuously adjustable Q, and a dedicated High Pass Filter section adds a distinctive 3 dB resonant peak. With its adaptable design and potent sculpting capabilities, the MR3eq proves to be a versatile tool, enhancing a broad spectrum of source materials and delivering equally impressive results in both tracking and mix-down settings.
