DPA d:dicate™ 4090 Omni Mic, Norm SPL, P48

The DPA d:dicate 4090 is a high-quality studio omni-directional microphone. With a uniquely open and natural sound, the 4090 is designed for instrument micing in both the studio and on stage. A low sensitivity version of the mic is available as the DPA 4091, which can better deal with high SPL at up to 144dB.

With a linear frequency response between 20Hz and 20kHz and 134dB SPL handling, meaning quality performance on any instrument, the 4090 is a versatile, clean sounding addition to any studio’s mic set. As the polar pick-up pattern is omni-directional, the mic does not suffer from the proximity bass boost effect that cardioid and other more focused pattern mics can suffer from, meaning the mic can be placed even close to the source without sonic adjustment.
