Neve Elements 88R EQ

The Neve Elements 88R EQ brings the four-band equaliser from the 88R console into the Elements format: a fully analogue, inductor-free semi-parametric EQ with digital control and full recall. It is the same EQ circuit used on the 88R, packaged as eight channels in 2U, so you can add that sound to any studio without buying a console.

Every band gives ±18dB, with shelving on the high and low bands and a choice of peaking or shelving on the mid bands. The result is a wide, musical EQ that will happily do gentle corrective work or aggressive shaping, and the digital layer means you can recall a setting exactly rather than photographing the front panel.

Control comes from the Element Control Plugin (AAX, AU and VST3) in your DAW or from the standalone Neve Elements app, with snapshots, multi-step undo and control grouping. The intelligent insert matrix lets you position the unit anywhere in the chain under software control, and it cascades with other Elements.

Pair it with the 88R Dynamics for a complete 88R-style channel strip, build it into a larger Elements system, or drive it from the E-Controller and Elements Upstand Screen on the 8424E console.
