The Radial OX8-r is a high-performance 8-channel 3-way mic splitter. Each of the eight channels features a balanced input with direct out that dually serves as a return path for phantom power, a through output with ground lift and an output isolated from the transformer. This makes the OX8-r the perfect option for live recording as it offers up clean, isolated sound to a recording station while also feeding FOH and monitoring desk.
The unit offers several types of input connection; Standard XLR on the front panel or through the rear panel through either 25pin D-subs or euro screw down terminal connectors. This means the unit can be connected to recording systems temporarily, or be used long term in a permanent installation. And although the OX8-r is initially designed to interface with mic level signals, the unit features a -36dB pad for line level sources, making the OX8 highly adaptable for all types of signal splitting.
Because it is 100% passive, the OX8 does not require any power to make it work. Maximum durability is ensured with heavy duty 14 gauge steel construction throughout. The OX8 can be ordered with our own custom wound Radial transformers or may be ordered with Jensen Transformers.
Also available is the LX8, a +4dB balanced line level version of the OX8. The LX8 comes with Jensen audio transformers only.
