DUY DaD Tape - Analog Tape Simulation Plugin
DUY DaD Tape - Analog Tape Simulation Plugin
DUY DaD Tape brings the warmth of analogue tape into the DAW and was the first digital tape simulator made for workstations. It models four classic machine types, three noise reduction systems and three tape speeds, giving combinations and control that real tape recorders cannot offer.
- Four modelled tape machines: a vintage valve deck, a late-1960s transistor machine, a 1970s op-amp machine and a modern machine
- Simulation of the three most common noise reduction systems plus a noiseless tape mode
- Switchable tape speed: 7.5, 15 and 30 ips
- User-adjustable operating level
- Independent input and output faders and meters
- AAX DSP support for Pro Tools HDX systems
Supplied as a digital download. After purchase your activation code is sent by email; register it in a DUY account at duy.com to access the installers. Authorisation is via PACE/iLok to either an iLok 2 or iLok 3 USB key or iLok Cloud, so no hardware dongle is needed if you choose iLok Cloud; computer-based iLok licences are not supported. Formats: AAX DSP and AAX Native (Pro Tools HDX compatible), AU, VST and VST3. Requires macOS 12 Monterey or later (macOS Tahoe compatible), 64-bit only, running natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs; Pro Tools 12 or later for AAX. Windows is not currently supported.
