Relab LX480 Dual-Engine Reverb V4 - Two-Engine Algorithmic Reverb Plugin
Relab LX480 Dual-Engine Reverb V4 - Two-Engine Algorithmic Reverb Plugin
The LX480 Dual-Engine Reverb V4 is Relab's full reverb, recreating a 1980s hardware digital reverb that became a studio standard. It runs two independent reverb algorithms at once, each with its own output, in four engine configurations — a structure carried over from the original hardware rather than added in software.
Beyond reverb it works as a multi-effect: a chorus engine, the Twin Delays algorithm for doubling, ping-pong and echo patterns, and the Panorama algorithm for widening a stereo source or for mono summing, phase inversion and channel swapping. Reverb shaping is built around the original Shape and Spread parameters, backed by a real-world early reflection engine, a filter section with high- and low-pass filtering and EQ, and Random Hall HD running at 32-bit float. Two workflows are provided — a Hardware mode that follows the original remote layout and an Advanced mode with a graphical display — and the plug-in includes several hundred presets including signature sets from mix engineers and over 200 EDM and 80s synthwave presets.
