Relab Maselec MEA-2 - Precision Stereo EQ Plugin

The Maselec MEA-2 is a plug-in recreation of the MEA-2 mastering equaliser, produced in collaboration with Leif Mases and the only officially endorsed software version. It is aimed at mastering and mix bus work, where small moves have to stay musical.

The curves use hand-tuned asymmetrical Q rather than textbook equations, and the shelving is deliberately broad so high and low adjustments do not introduce abrupt shifts. Bands can be switched between shelf and bell, and the serial signal flow means the interaction between bands is audible as you work. Solo isolation uses a fixed-gain curve for pinpointing frequencies, and mid/side is available on every band rather than as a single global setting. Stereo link per band, a balance control, advanced preset management and a resizable interface are included.

Supplied as a digital download with a perpetual licence. After purchase the licence is deposited in your iLok account; authorisation can be to a local computer or to an iLok USB key (v2 or later). An iLok account, an internet connection and the current PACE drivers are needed to activate; no hardware dongle is required. Formats: AAX, AU and VST3 (64-bit) on macOS 10.15 or later, and AAX and VST3 (64-bit) on Windows 10 or later.
