The SE Electronics SE8 is a small diaphragm condenser microphone designed to provide a balanced sound. The SE8 small diaphragm condenser microphone features a sophisticated backplate design that provides a balanced sound that is not harsh or aggressive making it perfect for sources such as high-hats or drum overheads.

The Se 8 features a -10 dB and -20 dB, providing an extended dynamic range, making the se8 suitable for a range of applications and close-mic techniques. The microphone also has two selectable low-cut filters at either 80Hz or 160Hz, helping eliminate rumble, footfall and also helping to compensate for any proximity effect experienced when using close-mic techniques.
