Waves Abbey Road RS124 Compressor - Vintage Valve Compressor Plugin
Waves Abbey Road RS124 Compressor - Vintage Valve Compressor Plugin
The Waves Abbey Road RS124 Compressor models the heavily modified Altec compressors that Abbey Road considered its secret weapon. They were heard on almost everything The Beatles recorded at the studio, most famously on Paul McCartney's bass lines, and more recently on vocals mixed by Tony Maserati for Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.
Developed with Abbey Road from original units restored in 2000, the plugin offers two RS124 versions with different valve flavours, Studio and Cutter, plus a Super Fuse mode for explosive, aggressive compression. Mono, stereo, left, right, mid and side processing, an Auto Hold feature to reduce artefacts and side-chain options make it suitable for vocals, beats, bass, synths and mix buses.
