Waves Abbey Road RS56 Passive EQ - Vintage Universal Tone Control Plugin
Waves Abbey Road RS56 Passive EQ - Vintage Universal Tone Control Plugin
The Waves Abbey Road RS56 Passive EQ models the RS56, created at Abbey Road in the early 1950s for mastering and vinyl cutting and regarded as the very first parametric EQ. The studio's recording engineers soon found it superior to the basic console tone controls of the time, and it is famously heard on The Beatles' recordings.
The plugin recreates the silky, transparent sound of passive equalisation with three bands, four frequencies per band and six filter types per band. Stereo, dual mono and mid/side processing, an EQ graph and modern enhancements make it perfect for loops, drums, synths or the entire mix bus.
