Waves CLA Classic Compressors - CLA-2A, CLA-3A and CLA-76 Compressor Plugins
Waves CLA Classic Compressors - CLA-2A, CLA-3A and CLA-76 Compressor Plugins
Waves CLA Classic Compressors are three compressor plugins modelled with mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge on the vintage units from his own studio. Each covers a different style of compression, so between them they handle vocals, drums, bass, guitars and buses.
The CLA-2A recreates the classic optical levelling amplifier, with smooth valve-coloured compression that suits vocals and bass. The CLA-3A models the solid-state 1970s limiter, combining a fast attack with a gentle optical release for punchy drums and guitars. The CLA-76 covers two versions of the 1176-style FET limiter, 'blue' and 'black', each with its own gain stage and harmonic character and the famous all-buttons mode. Mix and trim controls are added to every plugin for quick parallel compression, and optional hiss and hum can be switched in for full analogue authenticity.

- Optional analogue hiss and hum, and presets from Chris Lord-Alge
