Waves MDMX Distortion Modules is a toolkit for classic and modern distortion. Inspired by iconic guitar stompboxes, these virtual versions add more features, mid/side processing and dynamic response, so they work on every instrument.
Inject power into drums, create industrial bass sounds, add a tight edge to vocals, grab satisfying guitar fuzz or rough up synths. Parallel processing layers distortion with the dry sound, and HD mode oversamples to minimise aliasing.

Supplied as a digital download with a perpetual licence. After purchase you receive a Waves serial number to register to your Waves account; the plugins are then installed and activated with the free Waves Central application, either to your computer or to an exFAT-formatted USB flash drive, one device at a time. A Waves account and an internet connection are needed to activate; no hardware dongle is required. Formats: AAX Native, AudioSuite, AU and VST3 (64-bit) on macOS Sonoma 14 or later, and AAX Native, AudioSuite and VST3 (64-bit) on Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11. Intel and Apple silicon Macs and x64 Intel or AMD PCs are supported; 16 GB RAM is recommended.
